Power BI for Data Visualisation and Reporting

To enable participants to use Microsoft Power BI effectively for analysing and visualising data, creating interactive dashboards, and communicating insights in a clear and impactful way. Connect and import data from Excel, databases, and other common sources into Power BI.

- Clean and model data using Power Query and the Data Model to prepare it for analysis.
- Create and customise visualisations such as charts, tables, and maps to display trends and key metrics.
- Build interactive dashboards with filters and slicers for dynamic data exploration.
- Publish and share reports securely within the university’s Power BI workspace.
- Understand how Power BI can be integrated into ongoing reporting and analytics workflows.

There are specific pre-requisites for the programme:

a)      You need a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, gained from the workplace or by prior attendance on an IT course.
